Untitled, 2010
Projection onto cartridge paper and oil.
My practice examines the dynamic between humanity and the natural world. Taxonomic classification, the encyclopedic model and the documentary create a specific language that renders the natural world intelligible. By focusing particularly on the documentary I aim to highlight how human mechanisms (cinematography, composition, technical innovation) present constructions of nature.
